กับความสำเร็จของ อาจารย์ ดร.เขมชาติ เขมาวุฒานนท์ อาจารย์ประจำสำนักวิชาเทคโนโลยีดิจิทัลประยุกต์ และสมาชิก ศูนย์วิจัยระบบเศรษฐกิจหมุนเวียนเพื่อประเทศไทยปลอดขยะ (CEWT) มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง
ในฐานะหัวหน้าโครงการ “ศึกษาการจัดการขยะและวัสดุรีไซเคิลบนพื้นที่เกาะอย่างยั่งยืน” ซึ่งได้รับทุนสนับสนุนจาก มูลนิธิโคคา-โคล่า ประเทศไทย เป็นปีที่ 3 ต่อเนื่อง สะท้อนถึงความไว้วางใจและความเชื่อมั่นในศักยภาพของทีมนักวิจัยในการขับเคลื่อนเป้าหมายการพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืน (SDGs)
จุดเด่นของโครงการ:
ขยายผลจากพื้นที่นำร่อง (เกาะช้าง เกาะหมาก เกาะกูด) ไปสู่ 5 เกาะในภาคตะวันออก รวมถึงเกาะล้านและเกาะเสม็ด
ส่งเสริมการจัดระบบขนส่งขยะรีไซเคิลจากเกาะสู่แผ่นดินใหญ่ โดยสนับสนุนให้เกิดระบบคัดแยกที่ต้นทาง
ปี 2567 สามารถรวบรวมขยะรีไซเคิลได้มากถึง 2,337.30 ตัน เกินกว่าเป้าหมายที่ตั้งไว้ถึง 42.25%
พัฒนาระบบดิจิทัลรายงานข้อมูลขนส่ง เส้นทาง และระบบพยากรณ์ปริมาณขยะอย่างแม่นยำ
ต่อยอดโมเดลเศรษฐกิจหมุนเวียนภายใต้แนวทาง BCG Economy และหลัก Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR)
โครงการนี้ไม่เพียงแก้ไขปัญหาขยะในพื้นที่เกาะที่มีข้อจำกัดด้านโลจิสติกส์ แต่ยังเป็นโมเดลที่นำไปสู่การเปลี่ยนแปลงอย่างยั่งยืน ทั้งในระดับชุมชน ภาคธุรกิจ และเชิงนโยบาย
สอดคล้องกับ SDGs หลายข้อ อาทิ

We proudly celebrate the success of Dr. Kemachart Kemavuthanon, School of Applied Digital Technology and a core member of the Circular Economy for Waste-free Thailand -- CEWT, Mae Fah Luang University.
As the principal investigator of the project “Sustainable Waste and Recycling Management on Islands”, which has received continued funding from The Coca-Cola Foundation Thailand for the third consecutive year, this recognition reflects the strong confidence in the research team’s potential to drive the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Project Highlights:
Scaling up from pilot sites (Ko Chang, Ko Mak, and Ko Kut) to 5 key islands in Eastern Thailand, including Ko Lan and Ko Samet
Promoting a structured recycling logistics system that transports sorted waste from islands to the mainland
In 2024, the project successfully collected 2,337.30 tons of recyclable waste—42.25% above the original target
Developing digital systems for transport reporting, route planning, and forecasting future waste volumes
Advancing the Circular Economy model in line with the Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) Economy framework and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) principles
This initiative not only addresses waste challenges in isolated island communities but also serves as a scalable model for sustainable transformation across communities, industries, and policy frameworks.
