มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง โดยส่วนบริหารงานวิจัย เข้าร่วมการประชุมเจรจาข้อตกลงการแบ่งปันผลประโยชน์ตามมาตรา 52 แห่งพระราชบัญญัติคุ้มครองพันธุ์พืช พ.ศ. 2542 เมื่อวันอังคารที่ 2 ธันวาคม 2568 เวลา 10.30–11.00 น. การประชุมจัดขึ้นผ่านสื่ออิเล็กทรอนิกส์ในระบบ Zoom Meeting เพื่อหารือแนวทางการจัดทำข้อตกลงและกระบวนการดำเนินงานให้เป็นไปตามข้อกำหนดของกฎหมายอย่างถูกต้องและโปร่งใส
ที่ประชุมได้พิจารณา “โครงการการเพาะขยายพันธุ์ชา แปลงรวบรวมเชื้อพันธุกรรมชา ณ สิงห์ปาร์ค เชียงราย” ซึ่งดำเนินงานโดย ผศ.ดร.ปิยภรณ์ เชื่อมชัยตระกูล หัวหน้าสถาบันชาและกาแฟ มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง โครงการมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อเพิ่มปริมาณต้นพันธุ์ชาญี่ปุ่นที่มีคุณภาพ รักษาและคัดเลือกพันธุ์ที่มีลักษณะเด่น พร้อมจัดทำฐานข้อมูลและองค์ความรู้เพื่อสนับสนุนงานวิจัยและการพัฒนาในอนาคต
การประชุมครั้งนี้มีผู้แทนหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องเข้าร่วมอย่างพร้อมเพรียง เพื่อประสานความร่วมมือให้สอดคล้องกับพระราชบัญญัติคุ้มครองพันธุ์พืช พ.ศ. 2542 อันจะนำไปสู่การใช้ประโยชน์ทรัพยากรพันธุ์พืชอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพและยั่งยืน 
Mae Fah Luang University, through the Research Administration Division, participated in the negotiation meeting on Benefit Sharing Agreements under Section 52 of the Plant Variety Protection Act B.E. 2542 (1999) on Tuesday, 2 December 2025, from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. The meeting was conducted via Zoom Meeting to discuss guidelines for developing the agreement and ensuring that all procedures comply with legal requirements in a transparent and appropriate manner.
During the meeting, the project titled “Tea Propagation Project: Tea Germplasm Collection Plot at Singha Park Chiang Rai” was considered. The project is led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Piyaporn Chueamchaitrakun, Head of the Tea and Coffee Institute, Mae Fah Luang University. Its objectives include increasing the quantity of high-quality Japanese tea cultivars, preserving and selecting varieties with desirable traits, and establishing databases and academic knowledge to support future research and development.
The meeting brought together representatives from relevant agencies to foster collaboration in alignment with the Plant Variety Protection Act B.E. 2542 (1999), paving the way for the effective and sustainable utilization of plant genetic resources.
