พบกับผลงาน “กาแฟ : สร้างสรรค์ชีวิตที่มีคุณภาพและยั่งยืน (Coffee: Brewing a Better Life and Sustainability)” จากทีมวิจัยมหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง ในงาน Thailand Talent Summit 2025
ภายในงาน Thailand Talent Summit 2025 ซึ่งจัดระหว่างวันที่ 11–13 ธันวาคม 2568 ณ ศูนย์ประชุมนานาชาติพีช (PEACH) โรงแรมรอยัล คลิฟ บีช พัทยา จังหวัดชลบุรี โดยสำนักงานคณะกรรมการส่งเสริมวิทยาศาสตร์ วิจัยและนวัตกรรม (สกสว.) ผู้เข้าร่วมงานจะได้พบกับผลงานกาแฟคุณภาพระดับ Specialty Coffee จากงานวิจัยของ อาจารย์ ดร.อมร โอวาทวรกิจ หัวหน้ากลุ่มวิจัยกาแฟคุณภาพ และ ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.กิติพงษ์ คงพินิจบรรจง อาจารย์ประจำสำนักวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์ ผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านกาแฟ ซึ่งร่วมถ่ายทอดองค์ความรู้และร่วมจัดแสดงผลงานในครั้งนี้ ผลงานดังกล่าวได้รับคัดเลือกเป็น หนึ่งใน 50 ผลงานเด่นของประเทศ ที่นำเสนอภายในงาน
ผลงานชุดนี้เป็นผลจากการดำเนินงานอย่างต่อเนื่องตั้งแต่ปี 2563 เพื่อยกระดับคุณภาพกาแฟไทยและพัฒนาศักยภาพเกษตรกรในพื้นที่ โดยสามารถขยายผลสู่เกษตรกรกว่า 11 กลุ่ม ถ่ายทอดองค์ความรู้ให้ผู้เกี่ยวข้องกว่า 200 ราย ส่งผลให้รายได้ของเกษตรกรเพิ่มขึ้นเฉลี่ย 5% และมูลค่าผลิตภัณฑ์เพิ่มขึ้นกว่า 20% อีกทั้งยังสร้างผลตอบแทนทางสังคม (SROI) สูงถึง 4.4 เท่า คิดเป็นมูลค่าปัจจุบันสุทธิ 22.76 ล้านบาท ซึ่งสะท้อนศักยภาพของงานวิจัยที่สามารถยกระดับเศรษฐกิจฐานรากอย่างยั่งยืน
ความสำเร็จนี้มีรากฐานจากงานที่พัฒนาภายใต้โครงการและทุนสำคัญ ได้แก่
1. โครงการ “ศูนย์กลางการเรียนรู้ด้านเทคโนโลยีและการจัดการห่วงโซ่คุณค่าของกาแฟประเทศไทย (Coffee: Hub of Knowledge)” สนับสนุนโดย วช.
2. โครงการ “การใช้เทคนิคทรานสคริปโตมเพื่อคัดเลือกยีนที่ช่วยเพิ่มผลผลิตและคุณภาพเมล็ดกาแฟอะราบิกา” ภายใต้แผนงานมหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง และทุน Fundamental Fund จาก สกสว.
3. การมีส่วนร่วมในโครงการยกระดับและสร้างมูลค่าเพิ่มผลิตภัณฑ์กาแฟอะราบิกา จังหวัดเชียงราย สนับสนุนโดย วช.
4. การมีส่วนร่วมในโครงการพัฒนาขีดความสามารถของเกษตรกรและผู้ประกอบการกาแฟอะราบิก้าตลอดห่วงโซ่อุปทาน จังหวัดเชียงราย สนับสนุนโดย บพท.
ภายในงาน ผู้เข้าร่วมจะได้ลิ้มรส Specialty Coffee จากผู้ประกอบการและกลุ่มเกษตรกรที่ได้รับการพัฒนาผ่านองค์ความรู้จากทีมวิจัยมหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง พร้อมพบปะพูดคุยกับ อาจารย์ ดร.อมร และ ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.กิติพงษ์ เพื่อเรียนรู้มิติใหม่ของการพัฒนากาแฟที่เชื่อมโยงคุณภาพชีวิต เศรษฐกิจชุมชน และความยั่งยืน อันเป็นพันธกิจสำคัญของมหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวงในการขับเคลื่อนงานวิจัยเพื่อ ความเป็นอยู่ที่ดีและอนาคตที่ยั่งยืน

Advancing Research and Innovation for Well-being and a Sustainable Future
Mae Fah Luang University (MFU), guided by its vision of “Well-being and Sustainable Future,” proudly presents the research showcase “Coffee: Brewing a Better Life and Sustainability” at the Thailand Talent Summit 2025, held on 11–13 December 2025 at the PEACH Convention Center, Royal Cliff Beach Hotel, Pattaya. This showcase features high-quality Specialty Coffee derived from the research of Ajarn Dr. Amorn Owatworakit, Head of the Quality Coffee Research Group, together with Asst. Prof. Dr. Kitiphong Khongphinitbunjong, a coffee expert from the School of Science, who joins in presenting research insights and engaging with visitors. Their work has been selected as one of only 50 outstanding research showcases nationwide.
Since 2020, this initiative has aimed to enhance Thai Arabica coffee quality while improving the well-being and resilience of farmer communities. Through knowledge transfer to more than 200 farmers across 11 groups, the project has generated tangible and measurable impact, including a 5% increase in farmers’ income, over 20% growth in product value, and a notable Social Return on Investment (SROI) of 4.4, equal to a Net Present Value of 22.76 million THB. These outcomes reflect MFU’s mission to drive research that strengthens local economies and supports sustainable development.
The project builds upon research foundations developed under key programs, including:
1. Coffee: Hub of Knowledge – Technology and Value Chain Management Learning Center for Thailand, supported by NRCT.
2. Transcriptomic Techniques for Selecting Genes that Enhance Yield and Bean Quality in Arabica Coffee, supported by the Fundamental Fund (TSRI).
3. Collaborative contribution to Technology Transfer for Upgrading and Adding Value to Arabica Coffee Products in Chiang Rai Province, supported by NRCT.
4. Collaborative contribution to Capacity Building for Arabica Coffee Farmers and Entrepreneurs across the Supply Chain in Chiang Rai Province, supported by PMU-A
Visitors at the Thailand Talent Summit 2025 are invited to experience Specialty Coffee crafted by farmers and entrepreneurs who have refined their production capabilities through MFU’s research. The showcase also provides an opportunity to meet Ajarn Dr. Amorn and Asst. Prof. Dr. Kitiphong, who will share their expertise on coffee science, flavor development, and sustainable value creation—demonstrating how research, innovation, and community partnership can truly brew better lives and contribute to a Well-being and Sustainable Future.
