รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ณัฐกานต์ สร้อยกาบแก้ว และผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ณัฐยา ต๊ะวิไชย นักวิจัยจากศูนย์วิจัยวัสดุนวัตกรรมเพื่อความยั่งยืน (iMatS) สำนักวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง คว้า 2 รางวัลจากเวที International Invention, Innovation & Technology Exhibition (ITEX) 2026 ณ ประเทศมาเลเซีย ได้แก่ รางวัลเหรียญทอง (Gold Medal) และรางวัลพิเศษ NRCT Special Award จากสำนักงานการวิจัยแห่งชาติ (วช.)

ผลงานที่ได้รับรางวัลมีชื่อว่า "From Waste to Comfort: All-Cellulose Thermal and Acoustic Insulation Panels from Recycled Textiles" เป็นนวัตกรรมแผ่นฉนวนกันความร้อนและเสียงจากเซลลูโลสที่ผลิตจากสิ่งทอรีไซเคิล สะท้อนแนวทางการวิจัยเพื่อความยั่งยืนที่เป็นหนึ่งในพันธกิจหลักของมหาวิทยาลัย ทั้งในด้านการลดของเสียทางอุตสาหกรรมและการพัฒนาวัสดุทดแทนที่เป็นมิตรต่อสิ่งแวดล้อม

MFU's iMatS Researchers Win Two International Awards at ITEX 2026 in Malaysia

Associate Professor Dr. Nattakarn Sroykeabkaew and Assistant Professor Dr. Nattaya Tawichai, researchers from the Innovative Materials for Sustainability Research Center (iMatS), School of Science, Mae Fah Luang University (MFU), have claimed two prestigious awards at the International Invention, Innovation & Technology Exhibition (ITEX) 2026 in Malaysia. The MFU research team secured both the Gold Medal and the NRCT Special Award, the latter presented by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT).

Their award-winning innovation titled, "From Waste to Comfort: All-Cellulose Thermal and Acoustic Insulation Panels from Recycled Textiles," presents a highly sustainable approach to material engineering by transforming textile waste into high-performance, eco-friendly insulation panels. The project directly aligns with MFU's core commitment to sustainability-driven innovation, advancing both industrial waste reduction and the development of green alternative materials for the future.
