Research Administration Division Congratulates Asst. Prof. Dr. Phunsiri Suthiluk and Asst. Prof. Dr. Sutthiwal Setha for Their Participation in a Key Research Project 
The Research Administration Department extends its heartfelt congratulations to Asst. Prof. Dr. Phunsiri Suthiluk and Asst. Prof. Dr. Sutthiwal Setha from the Research Group of Postharvest Technology, School of Agro-Industry, Mae Fah Luang University, for being part of the research team collaborating with King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi on an important research project titled “Development of a Database and Management of Agricultural Product to Reduce Microplastic Contamination: A Hidden Disaster in the Food Supply Chain.” 
This project, funded by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), aims to address the pressing issue of microplastic contamination in agricultural products from various regions. The project will also investigate the causes of contamination from environmental factors and farming practices. Additionally, it will provide recommendations for mitigating microplastic contamination through the development of guidelines to be used alongside Good Agricultural Practices (GAP). 
The research project represents a significant step toward advancing knowledge on reducing the impact of microplastics in the food supply chain, promoting sustainable and safe agricultural practices for both consumers and the environment.

ส่วนบริหารงานวิจัย ขอแสดงความยินดีกับ ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.พันธ์สิริ สุทธิลักษณ์ และ ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.สุทธิวัลย์ สีทา กลุ่มวิจัยเทคโนโลยีหลังการเก็บเกี่ยว สำนักวิชาอุตสาหกรรมเกษตร มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง ที่ได้เป็นส่วนหนึ่งในทีมวิจัยร่วมกับ มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีพระจอมเกล้าธนบุรี ภายใต้โครงการวิจัยสำคัญเรื่อง “การจัดทำฐานข้อมูลและการบริหารจัดการผลผลิตทางการเกษตรเพื่อลดการปนเปื้อนของไมโครพลาสติก: ภัยพิบัติซ่อนเร้นในโซ่อุปทานอาหาร”
โครงการนี้ได้รับทุนสนับสนุนจาก สำนักงานการวิจัยแห่งชาติ (วช.) โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์หลักในการสำรวจและศึกษาปัญหาการปนเปื้อนของไมโครพลาสติกในผลผลิตทางการเกษตรจากพื้นที่ต่าง ๆ รวมถึงการศึกษาสาเหตุที่ทำให้เกิดการปนเปื้อนจากปัจจัยสภาพแวดล้อมและวิธีการปลูกต่าง ๆ และการจัดทำข้อเสนอแนะในการลดการปนเปื้อน ด้วยการพัฒนา guideline ที่สามารถนำไปใช้ร่วมกับ แนวปฏิบัติที่ดีในภาคการเกษตร (Good Agricultural Practice: GAP) 
โครงการวิจัยนี้จะเป็นก้าวสำคัญในการเพิ่มความรู้เกี่ยวกับการลดผลกระทบจากไมโครพลาสติกในห่วงโซ่อุปทานอาหาร และส่งเสริมการเกษตรที่ยั่งยืนและปลอดภัยสำหรับผู้บริโภคและสิ่งแวดล้อม
