Research Administration Division, MFU Conducts SDGs Orientation for Center of Excellence in Fungal Research(CEFR)
On 8 May 2025, the Research Administration Division of Mae Fah Luang University organized a focused session titled “Promoting Research and Innovation to Address the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)” at the division’s meeting room. The session aimed to guide researchers in aligning their work with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), using the framework of the THE Impact Rankings as a strategic mechanism
.
Mr. Karnkul Bumroongchad , Head of the Research Administration Division, served as the main speaker and outlined the university’s approach to integrating SDG-related indicators into research practices and institutional strategies.
This session was specially held for researchers from the Center of Excellence in Fungal Research(CEFR) , with active participation from Dr. Naritsada Thongklang and her research team.
Topics discussed included:
• Incorporating SDG-related keywords in research article titles, abstracts, and keywords
• Documenting evidence of university activities aligned with specific SDG targets
• Using the THE Impact Rankings as a tool to reflect the university’s global commitment to sustainable development
The session fostered meaningful exchanges of ideas and strengthened the shared mission among MFU researchers to drive forward a “Well-being and Sustainable Future” . It also highlighted the potential of MFU’s fungal research team in contributing impactful research that supports the SDGs.
