to lead the project:
“Development of Community Water Storage System for Flooding Mitigation: Learning from Japan’s Rain Garden to Build Community Resilience in Thailand”
under the framework of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Mae Fah Luang University and The Sumitomo Foundation.
This project aims to promote community-based water management for flood mitigation by adapting Japan’s rain garden concept to the Thai context, fostering resilience and sustainability.
The project supports several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation
SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities
SDG 13: Climate Action
SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals
