ส่วนบริหารงานวิจัย มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง (มฟล.) ร่วมกับคณะกรรมการควบคุมความปลอดภัยทางชีวภาพ มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง (MFU-IBC) และคณะกรรมการควบคุมความปลอดภัยทางชีวภาพระดับหน่วยงาน (หน่วยงาน-IBC) จัดกิจกรรม “การชี้แจงขั้นตอนการยื่นขอรับรองโครงการด้านความปลอดภัยทางชีวภาพและเทคโนโลยีชีวภาพสมัยใหม่”

กิจกรรมได้รับเกียรติจาก ศาสตราจารย์ ดร.สุจิตรา วงศ์เกษมจิตต์ รองอธิการบดี มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง และประธานคณะกรรมการควบคุมความปลอดภัยทางชีวภาพ มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง (MFU-IBC) เป็นประธานในพิธีเปิด พร้อมด้วย คุณกานต์กุญช์ บำรุงชาติ หัวหน้าส่วนบริหารงานวิจัย กล่าวรายงานถึงวัตถุประสงค์ของการจัดกิจกรรม เพื่อให้คณาจารย์ และนักวิจัยเข้าใจขั้นตอนการยื่นขอรับรองโครงการด้านความปลอดภัยทางชีวภาพอย่างถูกต้อง และแลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็นในกระบวนการยื่นขอพิจารณาโครงการของนักวิจัย
กิจกรรมมีผู้เข้าร่วมจำนวนกว่า 59 คน ซึ่งได้รับข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับ ขั้นตอนการยื่นขอรับรองโครงการด้านความปลอดภัยทางชีวภาพ เอกสารและหลักฐานที่จำเป็น แนวทางปฏิบัติตามมาตรฐานด้านความปลอดภัยทางชีวภาพและเทคโนโลยีชีวภาพสมัยใหม่ บทบาทของ MFU-IBC และหน่วยงาน-IBC พร้อมช่วงถามตอบ เพื่อให้ผู้เข้าร่วมเข้าใจขั้นตอนการยื่นขอรับรองโครงการด้านความปลอดภัยทางชีวภาพอย่างถูกต้อง
การเข้าร่วมของบุคลากรจากหลายสำนักวิชาและหน่วยงานภายในมหาวิทยาลัย สะท้อนถึงความตระหนักถึงความสำคัญของการดำเนินงานวิจัยอย่างปลอดภัยและเป็นไปตามหลักเกณฑ์ที่กำหนด
กิจกรรมครั้งนี้ยังช่วยสนับสนุน เป้าหมายการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน (SDGs) 
ได้แก่
SDG 4: การศึกษาที่มีคุณภาพ – เสริมสร้างความรู้และความเข้าใจแก่บุคลากร
SDG 3: สุขภาพและความเป็นอยู่ที่ดี – ส่งเสริมการทำงานวิจัยที่มีความปลอดภัย
SDG 9: นวัตกรรมและโครงสร้างพื้นฐาน – ยกระดับมาตรฐานด้านความปลอดภัยในงานวิจัย
กิจกรรมนี้นับเป็นอีกหนึ่งก้าวสำคัญในการส่งเสริมระบบบริหารจัดการด้านความปลอดภัยทางชีวภาพของมหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง เพื่อรองรับการวิจัยสมัยใหม่อย่างมีมาตรฐานและยั่งยืน 
The Research Administration Division, Mae Fah Luang University (MFU), in collaboration with the Mae Fah Luang University Institutional Biosafety Committee (MFU-IBC) and Sub-Institutional Biosafety Committee (Unit-IBC), organized the activity “Guideline Explanation Session on the Application Process for Project Certification in Biosafety and Modern Biotechnology.”
The event was held on Monday, 17 November 2025, from 09:00 to 11:00 a.m. via Zoom Meeting.
The activity was honored by the presence of Professor Dr. Sujitra Wongkasemjit, Vice President of Mae Fah Luang University and Chairperson of the MFU-IBC, who presided over the opening ceremony. Mr. Karnkul Bumroongchad, Head of the Research Administration Division, delivered the opening remarks and outlined the objectives of the event, which aimed to ensure that faculty members and researchers clearly understand the correct procedures and standards for submitting biosafety-related project applications, as well as to promote the exchange of opinions among researchers on the project application review process.
More than 59 participants attended the session and received information on the procedures for submitting biosafety project applications, required documents and supporting evidence, standard practices in biosafety and modern biotechnology, as well as the roles of MFU-IBC and Unit-IBCs. The session concluded with a Q&A segment to enhance participants’ understanding of the certification process.
The participation of personnel from various schools and units within the university reflects a strong awareness of the importance of conducting research safely and in accordance with established standards.
This activity also supported several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) including:

SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being – Promoting safe research practices
SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure – Strengthening safety standards in research operations
This event marks another significant step in strengthening the biosafety management system of Mae Fah Luang University, supporting modern, standardized, and sustainable research practices.
