ส่วนบริหารงานวิจัย มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง จัดโครงการอบรมเชิงปฏิบัติการ เรื่อง “การอบรมวิทยากรหลักสูตรความปลอดภัยทางชีวภาพและการรักษาความปลอดภัยทางชีวภาพ (BSL-2)” ในวันพุธที่ 25 กุมภาพันธ์ 2569 ณ ห้องประชุมคำมอกหลวง อาคาร M-Square ภายในมหาวิทยาลัยฯ เพื่อพัฒนาศักยภาพวิทยากรหลักสูตรให้สามารถถ่ายทอดองค์ความรู้ด้านความปลอดภัยทางชีวภาพได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพและเป็นมาตรฐานเดียวกัน
การอบรมครั้งนี้ได้รับเกียรติจาก ดร.ฉายสุรีย์ ศุภวิไล ข้าราชการบำนาญ มหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่ เป็นวิทยากร ถ่ายทอดความรู้ทั้งภาคทฤษฎีและภาคปฏิบัติ ครอบคลุมเนื้อหาสำคัญ 10 หัวข้อ อาทิ กฎหมายและกฎระเบียบที่เกี่ยวข้อง หลักการด้าน Biosafety และ Biosecurity การจัดการความเสี่ยงทางชีวภาพ การใช้อุปกรณ์ปกป้องส่วนบุคคล (PPE) การทำลายเชื้อ การขนส่งเชื้อโรค การจัดการขยะติดเชื้อ ตลอดจนแนวทางการจัดการสารชีวภาพรั่วไหล
ในช่วงบ่ายเป็นการฝึกภาคปฏิบัติ (Workshops) 3 หัวข้อหลัก ได้แก่
การออกแบบสถานที่และการจัดวางเครื่องมือในห้องปฏิบัติการ (Facility Design)
การสวมใส่และถอดอุปกรณ์ปกป้องส่วนบุคคลอย่างถูกต้อง
การจัดการสารชีวภาพรั่วไหลอย่างปลอดภัย
บรรยากาศการอบรมเป็นไปอย่างเข้มข้นและสร้างสรรค์ โดยเปิดโอกาสให้ผู้เข้าร่วมได้แลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็น ซักถามข้อสงสัย และร่วมสะท้อนมุมมองด้านการถ่ายทอดเนื้อหา เพื่อเสริมสร้างความเข้าใจที่ถูกต้องและเป็นไปในทิศทางเดียวกัน อันจะช่วยยกระดับศักยภาพวิทยากรหลักสูตรให้สามารถถ่ายทอดองค์ความรู้ด้านความปลอดภัยทางชีวภาพได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพและเป็นมาตรฐานเดียวกัน
การจัดอบรมครั้งนี้สะท้อนถึงความมุ่งมั่นของ มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง ในการพัฒนาศักยภาพวิทยากรและสร้างมาตรฐานการจัดการเรียนการสอนด้านความปลอดภัยทางชีวภาพให้มีคุณภาพ สอดคล้องกันทั้งระบบ และพร้อมขับเคลื่อนการดำเนินงานด้านความปลอดภัยทางชีวภาพของมหาวิทยาลัยอย่างต่อเนื่อง 
การจัดกิจกรรมดังกล่าวสอดคล้องกับ เป้าหมายการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน (Sustainable Development Goals: SDGs) ได้แก่

เสริมสร้างระบบและโครงสร้างพื้นฐานด้านห้องปฏิบัติการให้ปลอดภัย ได้มาตรฐาน และรองรับงานวิจัยอย่างยั่งยืน
The Research Administration Division of Mae Fah Luang University organized a workshop titled “Training of Trainers for the Biosafety and Biosecurity (BSL-2) Course” on Wednesday, 25 February 2026, at Kham Mok Luang Meeting Room, M-Square Building, within the University. The program aimed to enhance the capacity of course instructors to effectively and consistently deliver knowledge on biosafety in a standardized manner.
The workshop was honored to have Dr. Chaisuree Suphavilai, Pensionary, Chiang Mai University, as the main speaker. She delivered both theoretical and practical sessions covering 10 key topics, including relevant laws and regulations, principles of Biosafety and Biosecurity, Biorisk Management, the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), decontamination and sterilization, transportation of infectious materials, infectious waste management, and procedures for managing biological spill incidents.
In the afternoon, three hands-on workshop sessions were conducted: Facility Design and laboratory layout planning; proper donning and doffing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE); and safe management of biological spill incidents. 
The training atmosphere was intensive and constructive, providing participants with opportunities to exchange ideas, raise questions, and reflect on instructional approaches. This collaborative environment helped strengthen a shared understanding and enhance the instructors’ capacity to deliver biosafety knowledge effectively and in a standardized direction.
This workshop reflects the University’s strong commitment to developing instructor capacity and establishing high-quality, standardized biosafety teaching practices across the institution, while continuously advancing the University’s biosafety management system.
