Research Admistration Division, Mae Fah Luang University proudly congratulates Dr. Pradit Chinudomsub from the School of Social Innovation on receiving international research funding from the International Organization for Migration for the project titled:
“A Study on the Impacts of Climate Change–Related Disasters and Livelihoods in Chiang Rai Province.”
This globally supported project focuses on examining the impacts of climate change–related disasters on local livelihoods in Chiang Rai, with particular attention to vulnerable communities and socio-economic resilience. The study aims to generate evidence-based insights that can inform policy development, disaster risk reduction strategies, and sustainable livelihood planning in the face of increasing climate uncertainties.
By integrating social innovation approaches with field-based research, the project is expected to contribute to regional and global dialogues on climate adaptation and human mobility, aligning local realities with international frameworks. The collaboration with IOM further underscores the project’s relevance within the global development agenda, particularly in addressing climate-induced displacement and resilience building.
This achievement reinforces Mae Fah Luang University’s expanding engagement in internationally funded research and its commitment to advancing knowledge that supports a “Well-Being and Sustainable Future.”
