MFU Advances Coffee Research into Practical Applications, Serving Quality Chiang Rai Coffee at Thailand Talent Summit 2026
Mae Fah Luang University (MFU) has received support from the Thailand Science Research and Innovation (TSRI) in driving research and innovation in coffee, one of the university’s areas of strength. The initiative focuses on translating research-based knowledge into practical applications and creating value for local producers and entrepreneurs.
From 23–25 September 2026, Mae Fah Luang University, together with its researchers, Agaligo Coffee, and a network of farmers, brought quality coffee from Chiang Rai to serve guests and participants at the “Thailand Talent Summit 2026,” held at the Pattaya Exhibition And Convention Hall (PEACH), Chon Buri.
This participation represents another tangible example of translating MFU’s coffee research into practical applications. MFU researchers, in collaboration with Agaligo Coffee and the farmer network, prepared and served coffee from Chiang Rai directly to event participants, providing them with an opportunity to experience the taste and quality of coffee developed through knowledge and innovation across the entire value chain.
This process encompasses coffee production by farmers, quality and production process improvement, processing, and presentation in a ready-to-serve format for consumers. It reflects Mae Fah Luang University’s approach to advancing research toward tangible outcomes and the practical utilization of knowledge.
Bringing Chiang Rai coffee to the Thailand Talent Summit 2026 is therefore not only an opportunity to showcase a local coffee product, but also to communicate the potential of research and innovation at Mae Fah Luang University in connecting knowledge, researchers, farmers, and entrepreneurs in the process of creating value and achieving practical applications. It also highlights the potential of Chiang Rai coffee as a product supported by knowledge and innovation throughout the value chain.
