ศูนย์วิจัย DTRAB (Digital Transformation Research Center for Agro-Industry and Business) มีลักษณะงานวิจัยสำคัญดังนี้

1. งานวิจัยเชิงประยุกต์ด้านการเปลี่ยนผ่านสู่ดิจิทัล
   มุ่งนำเทคโนโลยีดิจิทัลมาแก้ปัญหาและเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพการดำเนินงานของภาคเกษตร อุตสาหกรรมเกษตร โลจิสติกส์ และธุรกิจ โดยเน้นการพัฒนาระบบที่สามารถนำไปใช้จริง 
2. การยกระดับห่วงโซ่อุปทานและห่วงโซ่คุณค่า
   ศึกษาตั้งแต่กระบวนการผลิต การรวบรวม การแปรรูป การขนส่ง การตลาด จนถึงผู้บริโภค เพื่อปรับปรุงกระบวนการ พัฒนาโมเดลธุรกิจใหม่ และเพิ่มมูลค่าสินค้าเกษตร 
3. การพัฒนาระบบตรวจสอบย้อนกลับและการจัดการข้อมูล
   เน้นการออกแบบมาตรฐานข้อมูล ระบบเชื่อมโยงข้อมูล และแพลตฟอร์มตรวจสอบย้อนกลับ เช่น การใช้ Blockchain ในห่วงโซ่อุปทานยางพารา เพื่อเพิ่มความโปร่งใส ความน่าเชื่อถือ และสนับสนุนการค้า 
4. การประยุกต์ใช้เทคโนโลยีดิจิทัลสมัยใหม่
   เทคโนโลยีที่ใช้ในงานวิจัยครอบคลุมหลายด้าน ได้แก่ 
   • Blockchain และมาตรฐานข้อมูลเปิด 
   • ปัญญาประดิษฐ์และระบบรู้จำวัตถุ 
   • ระบบสนับสนุนการตัดสินใจ 
   • Mixed Reality และระบบจำลองสถานการณ์

5. งานวิจัยแบบบูรณาการข้ามศาสตร์
   เป็นการทำงานร่วมกันระหว่างศาสตร์ด้านอุตสาหกรรมเกษตร เทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศ การจัดการ โลจิสติกส์ บัญชี การเงิน และกฎหมาย ทำให้การพัฒนาระบบไม่ได้พิจารณาเฉพาะเทคโนโลยี แต่รวมถึงกระบวนการธุรกิจ กฎระเบียบ และความเป็นไปได้ในการใช้งานจริง

   • ระบบ AI สำหรับตรวจจับและจำแนกโคเนื้อ เพื่อสนับสนุนการขุนโคและบริหารจัดการฟาร์ม 
   • โครงการ Talent Mobility เพื่อถ่ายทอดองค์ความรู้และพัฒนางานวิจัยร่วมกับภาคอุตสาหกรรม

The Digital Transformation Research Center for Agro-Industry and Business (DTRAB) focuses on the following key areas of research:

1. Applied research on digital transformation
   The center applies digital technologies to address challenges and improve operational efficiency in agriculture, agro-industry, logistics, and business. Its research emphasizes the development of practical systems that can be implemented in real-world settings. 
2. Supply chain and value chain enhancement
   The center studies the entire value chain—from production, collection, processing, transportation, and marketing to the final consumer—to improve operational processes, develop new business models, and increase the value of agricultural products. 
3. Traceability system and data management development
   Research focuses on designing data standards, integrated data systems, and supply chain traceability platforms. One example is the application of blockchain technology to the rubber supply chain to improve transparency, reliability, and trade facilitation. 
4. Application of modern digital technologies
   ​​​​​​​The center applies a broad range of technologies in its research, including: 
   • Blockchain and open data standards 
   • Artificial intelligence and object-recognition systems 
   • Decision-support systems 
   • Mixed reality and simulation systems 
   • Digital process and service design 
   • Smart farm management and intelligent logistics systems 
5. Interdisciplinary research
   The center promotes collaboration across agro-industry, information technology, management, logistics, accounting, finance, and law. Therefore, its system development considers not only technological aspects but also business processes, regulatory requirements, and the feasibility of real-world implementation. 
   Examples of the center’s research projects include:
   • A blockchain-based open-data system for traceability in the rubber supply chain 
   • A smart logistics training center using mixed-reality simulation 
   • Digital technologies for industrial production safety prevention and control in the Lancang–Mekong region
